How does one-tap SOS work?

A simple tap on the screen immediately sends your location and an alert to the trusted contacts you set up in the app. They can join you and reach you instantly.

Is my location data private?

Only the point where an alert is triggered is geolocated. Your position is only shared in case of an SOS or Shock SOS. Never with third parties, and never without your consent.

Why do I need to provide my mobile number, email address and date of birth?

An authentication code is sent to your phone during sign-up so we can confirm it's really you. We then use your email address to communicate app updates and news. Since minors cannot access GPS guidance during an alert, we also need your date of birth.

What do you do with this data?

Your data is fully protected. We never enter into any partnership that could share your data. Fastority anonymizes your alerts after 14 days, after which it's impossible to link an alert back to personal data. We are a safety and community mutual-aid app, not a leisure or marketing platform.

Can I use the CHAT to have a conversation?

No. The chat is not a discussion space but an emergency contact channel. It only works between alert senders, the community, and group members.

Can I view a location other than where I currently am?

Of course, you can zoom out and move around the map anywhere in the world. Pick any country and zoom into a city. If alerts have been triggered there, you'll see them on your screen with the same features as in your own area.

What if I'm unconscious or can't use my phone?

Whenever you're on the move (driving, hiking, sports, hunting, fishing, outings, etc.), we strongly recommend enabling 'Shock SOS'. If your phone stays still beyond the set time, Fastority will trigger the alert on your behalf. Location tracking is activated along with Shock SOS.

What is the Safe Place feature?

By enabling 'Safe Places' in your area, you'll find permanent (official) or temporary (community-reported) shelters nearby. In case of immediate danger, you can take refuge in these secured locations.

The Violence, Accident and Natural Hazard alerts let me fill in a description. What's it for?

This description captures information and testimonies gathered in the moment, feeding the report you can view by clicking on alerts on your screen. This information is very valuable to law enforcement when launching search operations.
